Our valued client within the Supply Chain Management and Logistics sector, with diverse Operations including warehousing, transportation, and chemical distribution, is seeking a Financial Accountant, based on the East Rand, Johannesburg.
Minimum Requirements
  • BCom Degree in Accounting/Finance (CIMA or CA advantageous but not essential),
  • Minimum 5 years mid-to-senior accounting experience,
  • Advanced Excel and SAGE (or equivalent ERP) capability,
  • Proven record of accomplishment in reporting,
  • Strong references demonstrating maturity and work ethic.
Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements,
  • Oversee general ledger and ensure timely month-end closures,
  • Perform detailed costing and variance analysis across Operations,
  • Prepare Management reports and consolidated financial packs,
  • Drive budgeting and forecasting cycles,
  • Support Audit processes,
  • Ensure compliance with South-African tax legislation,
  • Work cross-functionally to integrate systems,
  • Inventory Management, Audit, and control,
  • Monitor and implement internal controls,
  • Develop cash flow system.
Industry Exposure
  • Logistics or Supply Chain Management is advantageous
  • Chemical distribution experience is a plus.
