Our leading client in the Construction Industry, in Brackenfell, is searching for a Quantity Surveyor.
Experience and Qualifications
- Btech QS or BSc QS (or in progress of obtaining)
- A minimum of 4 to 8 years working experience
- Your professional registration will b advantageous
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills
- Valid RSA drivers’ license.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct feasibility studies and advise on the most economical way to meet project requirements from the outset.
- Prepare cost estimates and budgets for materials, labour and equipment.
- Develop tender documents, including bills of quantities, for the bidding process.
- Manage tenders and evaluate and negotiate bids from contractors.
- Monitor and control costs for projects.
- Measure and value the work done on site to facilitate payments.
- Manage contracts and advising on contractual matters, negotiate variations, and ensure payments are made accurately an on time.
- Finalize project accounts and ensure all contractual obligations are met.
- Perform analysis to understand the costs over the entire life of the building or structure.
